Motorsport is not only about individual top performance driving skills, but also about a teamwork (involving pilot, mechanics, race engineer) and lots of other aspects including budget planning, logistics, preparation of racing and service vehicles, proper selection of technical solutions to match the existing regulations, heavy duty testing of individual components (braking pads, hoses, clutch parts, drives, belts, oil pumps, wheel hubs etc), selection of service fluids depending on the task (coolants, engine and transmission oils, brake fluids), tire management, operating telemetry equipment, race car adjustments to the modifying environments.

Forced engines are nearly double-powered compared to standard-issue motors and they demand higher standards of motor oils and cooling fluids, while a high rate of hard braking during the race requires utilization of top performance brake fluids and brake pads.

One way or the other, the leading global suppliers of automotive components, lubricants and tires are building their brand image through participation in various motorsport events. "We are capable of delivering the product intended for heavy-duty use, we have trust of race pilots, and we draw on this experience when delivering our mass segment products" - this is the key message translated to the spectator by the sponsor’s logo on a race car.

Due to certain reasons major suppliers were forced to abandon the Russian market, but this situation simultaneously opened a window of opportunity to the new players. Conveying a positive brand image in the mind of customers by means of sponsoring the motorsport events or individual racing teams is still relevant.

Russian Rallycross Championship stages are covered by the national Match-TV channel with the audience of several million viewers. Rallycross is head-to-head short and spectacular racing sport with positional fights going on intensively from the start to the finish line.

While observing a logo of a certain company on a race car the viewers tend to identify with it and start using corresponding product to serve their own cars.
